Freeflex testers (Try before you buy)

We offer 'tester' versions of our Freeflex bridles, to enable potential customers to test our revolutionary headpiece design it on their horse ahead of buying. Here's how it works:

Requesting a tester: We offer Freeflex testers in full or cob size - just select and order via this page as you would a normal product. When ordering please indicate the type of noseband you wish to test with, using the "additional order details" box on the checkout page - the types available are as per the Freeflex range:

• Cavesson flash
• Crank flash
• Drop
• Grackle

(Note that depending on availability the noseband may be from a different range - eg Silver Crown - rather than Freeflex, and/or in a different colour to the headpiece).

You pay the same price as for a new bridle; this acts as a deposit towards its return. If you decide to buy, return the testers and we'll send out the Freeflex bridle  you want. If you decide not to buy, return the tester sent and we'll refund the full amount paid less a £20 charge. Please note that the tester service is only available to UK-based customers.

"Out of stock" message: If the message "Out of stock but can be ordered", appears, it means that tester type is currently out for use by someone else.  We'll send it to you as soon as it's returned. (If you contact us we can give you an estimate of when we expect it back).

Prompt return in good condition: Testers remain our property unless otherwise agreed - please return them within 2 weeks and in good condition so they are available to others. As with a bit bank, if testers aren't returned within a month or are seriously damaged, we will not accept their return and will retain the full amount paid. 

Please also ensure testers are returned cleaned and conditioned (but NOT oiled) - we expect to receive them in the same condition they were sent out.  An additional tester fee may be charged if significant cleaning is found to be required.

Please pack them securely to prevent damage and use a tracked or "signed for" service, appropriately insured: we can't take responsibility for returned testers that are lost in transit.  We recommend the use of Royal Mail - please DO NOT use My Hermes, as we have had several poor experiences with them.
